• Odd Projects (2022)

Over the years I've had many ideas, some odder than others. These are an assortment of projects that didn't quite warrant their own entry but were still worth including!

  • Lofted Bed Rebirth!

One problem with making so many things is that it's hard to hold onto all of them. Thankfully, that's what friends are for!

I originally made this bed in 2019 for my college apartment. I sold it to a friend who gave it to some other friends, and in a few years time the thing ended up disassembled in an Ohio basement.

Moving cross-country, I stopped for the night and helped my friends set it up in their guest room. A few pieces went missing, but we improvised and made it work!

  • 3D Printer Shelf

I designed and built this shelf because I didn't have a good place to put my 3D printer when I moved into my new apartment. I didn't have access to much in terms of tools or materials, so I built it from dumpster wood which I cut with a handsaw.

  • Geometric Patterns

One night I couldn't sleep so I designed these geometric patterns in Blender. I think they would make great hanging decorations or even earrings. They were inspired by the Japanese art of kumiko. They also somewhat remind me of modern stained glass art.

  • Belt Buckle Concept

While I was designing my planetary gears belt bucke, I came up with this ornate design. I eventually pared it down as the level of detail was not within the scope of the class (or the tools I had available to me), but I think it stands alone as an interesting piece in its own right.
