    The Cephalyx (Winter 2019)

I'm always trying to branch out and develop new creative outlets. This section contains both colored line drawings as well as some pixel art.

    Bluebird Wyvern (Winter 2023)

I designed this wyvern as concept art for a tattoo.

I wanted to make a truly unique wyvern, so I went back to the roots of what a wyvern or dragon is. They're sort of one part lizard, one part bird, and another part bat.

This guy is inspired by geckos, bluebirds, and fruit bats. I imagine he'd be about the size of a squirrel.

  • a digital drawing of a woman in overalls holding a wrench. She has more tools in her pocket.

    Self Portrait (Winter 2023)

I wanted a self portrait to use for profile pictures, and this is it! I made it while quarantined with COVID.

  • The BSA Eagle patch, but rendered in pink, white, and blue. The text around it reads, 'Transgender Eagle Scout,' and a banner beneath the eagle reads, 'be gay.'

Transgender Eagle Scout Badge (Fall 2023)

There's a suprising number of transgender eagle scouts out there, including myself. I feel like it's a difficult part of my identity to claim, because the title is associated with boys and immediately outs me as trans.

This piece is my attempt to reclaim and own that identity.

    Annamorphs (Spring 2022)

My take on David Mattingly's cover art from the Animorphs book series.

  • a digital drawing of five friends posing in Old West-inspired dress, making breaad

    Red Bread Redemption (Spring 2022)

My friends and I love baking bread. We also love puns. I made this drawing as a fun play on words and an excuse to draw us dressed like Old West people. It references the cover art from Red Dead Redemption 2 by Rockstar Games.

  • a digital drawing of an archer in a bear pelt about to fire an arrow

Devana, Goddess of the Hunt (Summer 2019)

In Western Slavic mythology, Devana is the goddess of nature, the moon, and the hunt. She is often depicted wearing a bear pelt.

    Original D&D Character (Fall 2020)

I designed this character for a Dungeons and Dragons campaign my friends and I were in talks of starting.

I first drew a pencil sketch, then traced a line art layer over an image of the sketch using my computer trackpad. I added fills and simple shading on another layer.

    Forest Background (Spring 2021)

After buying a drawing tablet, I made this piece to test it out. My thought was that I could use it as a background plate for an animation or other piece.

  • a digital drawing of a man with a spear stradling two rocks

    Guy with Spear (Spring 2019)

I created this as a concept piece for the protagonist of a graphic novel.

    • pixel art of a man in a leather jacket with a backwards-turned hat
    • pixel art of a woman with a colorful scarf
    • pixel art of an angry police officer
    • pixel art of a woman with a necklace in a teal jacket
    • pixel art of an enthusiastic young boy in a jacket and graphic tee

    Pixel Art Characters

Growing up, Pokémon Emerald was my favorite video game. It was made for the Game Boy Advance which had a resolution of 240x160 pixels. Character sprites were confined to an 80x80px box.

I made these character sprites in the original format and style of the game.

    • pixel art of a man in a leather jacket with a backwards-turned hat
    • pixel art of a woman with a colorful scarf
    • pixel art of an angry police officer
    • pixel art of a woman with a necklace in a teal jacket

    Simple Portraits (Spring 2019)

I made these simple portraits as character concepts for a story I was writing at the time.

    Cartoonified Friends (Fall 2020)

While testing out simplified art styles, I made this group picture of my friends and myself.
